Well. Anime is of course a japanese cartoon. It first satrted around 1960, 1970.. some time around there. There is tons and tons of anime! The great master of it all is the Hayao Miyazaki himself. He is the creator of My neighbor Totoro, Castle in the Sky, Wind Warriors, Princess Mononoke, and so much more! Most of the popular animes are the ones with a great story line, characters, and voice actors. Just like the Dragon Ball series, Sailor Moon series, Tenchi Muyo series, and we can't forget X/1999. Clamp is a popular anime company. Yes, they did Card Captor Sakura (Card Captors). And also so many other cool animes! Japanese believed that cartoons aren't just for kids, but for adults. That is why you might see a lot of anime is rated for sertant ages. Anime that was released in the US theaters have a G, PG, PG-13, or R rating. Like Ghost in the Shell, Princess Mononoke, Ninja Scroll, X, and Perfect Blue. So.. you get the point... ^.^;
